Joachim Bitta is Lean Champion in the Advanced Optics business unit at SCHOTT AG. In his past, he held key roles in operations management, global internal consulting, value stream management, and plant restructuring in the chemical (GE, Momentive, and Lanxess) and food industries (Nestlé). As a chemist, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, systemic organizational consultant, and business coach certificated by the Schulz von Thun Institute, he brings a combination of methods that is rare in the industry. This has proven to be particularly effective in developing processes, organizations, and people.
Joachim focused on developing broad experience as well as a deep detailed knowledge in continuous improvement in production, logistics, and supply chain, as well as in organizational development and individual coaching. In his experience, in addition to all the technical and organizational specifics that need to be considered, there is a constant factor that significantly influences the success of an organization: the people and how they interact with each other.
